If you’re considering a commissioned portrait, Chris will begin by working with you to design the artwork. This includes discussing composition, size, colour palette, and any symbolic or personal elements you’d like included. Once the creative direction is clear, he’ll outline a timeline and provide you with a quote.

Oil paintings typically take 2–3 months to complete. Pricing is based on canvas size and the number of figures included.

Working from Life or Photographs

Chris paints both from life and photographic reference. While many clients choose to work from photos, the best results are often achieved when Chris takes his own reference images. In some cases, your personal photographs may also be suitable.

Booking and Payment

A non-refundable 50% deposit secures your place in Chris’s painting schedule. The balance is due upon completion. If travel is required (interstate or overseas), an additional fee may apply for travel and accommodation.
